SBN (4th Degree Black Belt) Paul Bond

Principle Instructor

Pu Sa Bum Nim (PSBN) Paul had been training in Kuk Sool Won for 23 years before moving to the World Kido Federation in Aug 23. He started his martial arts career under the tutelage of Master Steve Whiting at Diss Kuk Sool Won dojang in Norfolk, achieving the rank of red belt before moving. PSBN Paul later achieved the rank of Jo Kyo Nim (1st dahn black belt), under the instruction of Master Philip Hinchliffe at the Cambridge dojang before moving to Scotland. Between 2010 to 2014 he was a student and assistant instructor at Aberdeen Kuk Sool Won dojang, achieving his 2nd dahn black belt in 2014. Moving school again in 2017, SBN Paul became a student and instructor at the West Oxfordshire Kuk Sool Won dojang achieving the rank of 3rd dahn during his tenure. SBN Paul re-joined his former instructors at Aberdeen in 2019 and decided to open a new school in Stonehaven. In 2023, SBN Paul made the difficult decision to leave the WKSA to join the World Kido Federation and has not looked back. He encourages a high energy level in his classes and stresses the importance of proper body conditioning and flexibility, which form the core of elements of his beginner lessons. He also particularly enjoys instructing and participating in the many forms of Hanminjok Hapkido, especially the open handed elements.
